And how would you describe your story so far?
I had decided that I have to “act”. But I was with Shiamak Davar dance team for two years. I thought after I finish my dance school, I will use the contacts from my mom (Anjana Mumtaz) to enter Bollywood.
At that time I came to know about hearing MP3-Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar where about 800 kids already enrolled. People called my mother and asked her to send me to audition. And my mother sent me there as she wanted to know what I can do on my own.
I did not want to audition because I know my mother would have come to Yash Raj Films and other big banners who knew. But I took it as a challenge and went to the audition and got the part.
Teree Sang was an interesting chapter. Satishji met (Satish Kaushik) for a movie. I had already made MP3 and clearly told me he wanted to cast a fresh face and is not interested in having someone who has already done a film.
But one day I called his office and asked me to do a scene (listen mode) with a girl I did it with pleasure. The next day I got a call back to audition for the film. I went there. But this time I did that scene with 7-8 girls.
The third day I called again and had a hearing with more than 7-8 girls that I was enjoying somewhere, but I was confused too. Actually, I used assistant directors for girls and girls became very comfortable in giving me auditions.
